The Mediterranean Green Belt will represent the largest green infrastructure in southern Europe and the most important restoration initiative in the Mediterranean led by people.
By joining the Mediterranean Green Belt, you participate in the objective of Mediterranean countries to restore 8 million hectares of degraded forest landscapes—encompassing more than 4 billion trees—by 2030.
A large-scale restoration will take place in the Biosphere Reserve of the Mediterranean, near Marbella, in Andalusia, protected by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization—UNESCO.
