We must protect the biodiversity of Mediterranean forests.

It is estimated that 40% of Mediterranean forests are currently degraded to some extent, due to increased forest fires, overgrazing, and destruction for agriculture and urban development. 28% of Mediterranean forest plant and animal species are threatened with extinction. We build the Mediterranean Green Belt by restoring forests and protecting biodiversity along the Mediterranean coast.
